As a fan of the 2003 animated film, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, I was disappointed when I first saw it on DVD in widescreen format. The film was originally shot in full screen, but the widescreen version cropped out some of the important details, making the film look less visually appealing.
For example, in the scene where Sinbad and his crew are sailing through the cyclops’ lair, the widescreen version cuts off the top of the cyclops’ head, making it look like he has no eyes. This is a significant change from the full screen version, where the cyclops’ entire head is visible.
