The Devil Saw My Head Down
I was walking through the forest when I saw him. He was sitting on a rock, his long, black coat billowing in the wind. His eyes were red, like coals, and his teeth were sharp as razors.
I stopped in my tracks, fear coursing through my body. I knew who he was. He was the devil.
He smiled at me, his lips curling back in a cruel sneer. “Hello,” he said. “I’ve been waiting for you.”
I didn’t say anything. I couldn’t. I was too scared.

I closed my eyes, ashamed. He was right. I had sinned. I had done things that I was not proud of.
“But I’m not here to punish you,” he said. “I’m here to offer you a deal.”
I opened my eyes. “What kind of deal?”
“I’ll give you anything you want,” he said. “Anything at all. All you have to do is say yes.”
I hesitated. What could I say? What could I ask for?
“I want my life back,” I said. “I want to be a good person again.”
He smiled. “Your wish is my command,” he said.
And with that, he disappeared.
I stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. Then, I turned and walked away.
I didn’t know if the devil was real or if it was just a dream. But one thing I did know was that I was determined to make a change.
